Mentoring

Inclination Productions is pleased to announce our new one-to-one mentoring services. Whether you’re applying to drama school, or just preparing for a big audition, we are here to provide constructive criticism, direction, and support.

What happens in a Online Mentoring Session ?

  • BEFORE THE SESSION – You prepare the piece (or pieces) you want to work on, as well as a 500 word summary of the text the piece comes from and who the character is. This summary is just as important as learning your lines, so please make sure to do it.

  • DURING THE SESSION – After a short introductory chat, you will perform your piece(s). Your mentor will watch and take notes. You will then be given Constructive Criticism. The ability to take criticism is an important skill for every actor to learn, however our feedback will ALWAYS be constructive. We are here to support you, not tear you down. You will be asked to perform your piece(s) again, incorporating the feedback you were given. At the end of the session, you will be given time to ask any questions or general advice you’d like.

  • AFTER THE SESSION – You will be sent a pdf version of your notes. If you requested that the session be recorded, you will also be sent the recording. You may also be asked to complete a short survey on your experience of the mentoring session.

Who is your Mentor ?

  • Inclination Production’s founder Saoirse Wadding-Hayes provides all our mentoring services. Having been a drama student, a professional actor, and now a drama teacher, Saoirse is perfectly placed to give advice to performers at all stages of their careers. You can find out more information about Saoirse at her website.

Online Sessions are 1hr via Google Meet. Once your session has been scheduled, you’ll be sent a link to the meeting. If you cannot find the link in you email, make sure you check your spam folder.
